Alex goes to the café where Rose is but refuses to show up upon recalling how painful it was to be abandoned by her own mother. While Matt and Christina receive some good news, Rose and Luz argue over their different points of view about motherhood.
From a Distance
Upon learning of Rose’s persistence to find their daughter, Matt confronts his ex-wife and gives her a much-awaited chance to see Xandra under one condition. However, their meeting angers Christina, who thinks her husband loves Rose more than her.
Truce
Matt stands up for Rose when his family learns of his agreement with his ex-wife, pushing Christina to drown her sorrow. As she celebrates her small success with her friends, Rose cannot help but reminisce about her time with Renz.
Blame The Innocent
With Franco and Matt’s support, Alex eagerly pursues opening her own restaurant in Milan, which reminds her father of Rose. Dreading how the tragic news will disappoint her family, Christina finds a way to blame her miscarriage on someone else.

Rose starts working again as a chef in Manila, while Alex successfully opens her business in Milan. As Rose ponders whether Renz has really moved on from her, the young man decides to return to the Philippines after learning of a family emergency.

Rose chances upon Renz at Cusina Rosa. She opts to avoid him, only to feel guilty and worried later on over the young man’s dejected demeanor. Back in Italy, Lily scolds Alex for sending money to Renz, pushing her granddaughter to make a bold move.
Before It's Too Late
Rose's old wounds reopen as she comes face to face with a ghost from her past at the Blue Flame. Using his father's situation, Renz tries to convince Alex to patch things up with her estranged mother before it's too late.

Alex and Rose turn emotional as they finally get the chance to clear the air between them. While the two women are on cloud nine over their reconciliation, Renz receives a piece of love advice from his father.

Unaware of Renz and Rose's shared past, Alex breaks the good news to her boyfriend and invites him to meet her mother. While she and her daughter waste no time catching up, Rose receives an unexpected call from Luz.
