The Top Gear special feature for Sports Relief, first broadcast on 10 July 2004 Top Gear's Jeremy Clarkson went bumper to bumper with Jodie Kidd, Alan Davies, Patrick Kielty, Darren Jordan and Jimmy Carr in a series of tyre-screechingly fast paced challenges designed to test their pedal power to the max. Among the highlights were a classic car race around the circuit, car-skittles and a double-decker banger challenge. Richard Hammond and James May presided over the action and offered their usual critique on contestants' skill levels.

Polar Special
The distance between Resolute in northern Canada and the magnetic North Pole at Ellef Ringnes Island is 450 miles. It's a journey across sea ice and unforgiving mountainous terrain where temperatures can drop to minus 65ºC - a temperature at which exposed skin can freeze in less than 30 seconds. Only fools would attempt such a journey. So Jeremy and James are attempting to do it in the now legendary Toyota Hilux and Richard hopes to make it on a sled pulled by ten Canadian Inuit dogs. Watch the complaints from environmentalists roll in.

Top Gear of the Pops
Top Gear of the Pops is a one-off musical special of the motoring show featuring Travis, Supergrass, McFly (given the task of writing a song in ten minutes) and finally Justin Hawkins - supported by Clarkson on drums, Hammond on bass and May on the keys. It was shown as part of the Comic Relief 16 March 2007 appeal, mixing elements of Top Gear with Top of the Pops, the British music chart show cancelled in 2006, and the news segment features the hosts arguing about the state of the modern music scene. Not to be missed.

Top Ground Gear Force
The Top Gear team of Jeremy Clarkson, James May and Richard Hammond decided, for Sport Relief, to impersonate and belittle the show Ground Force, and provide a garden makeover to the garden of one of Britain's sporting legends, namely Steve Redgrave. Helping them was a team of "Foreign Nationals", and on hand to provide advice on Redgrave's tastes was his wife, Ann Redgrave, who was erroneously addressed and referred to as "Lady Ann" rather than the proper "Lady Redgrave".

Along the way they undertake a series of challenges culminating in a fight to find the fastest way into New York, all in the name of crowning the world's greatest sports car. Cheer as we stage a race for all those unsung heroes of the movie industry! Whoop as we find the car that makes the perfect dramatic exhaust note to dub onto an action sequence! Make some other sort of noise we haven’t thought of yet as we re-attempt the classic Man With The Golden Gun barrel roll, having frankly made a total hash of it when we first tried it on telly! All this plus a vast fleet of sexy supercars and a man with a jet pack racing a Skoda. Top Gear At The Movies. It’s better than an actual movie. Probably. Actually, it depends on which movie we’re talking about. Truth is, you’d be better judging this on a case-by-case basis. The Perfect Road Trip
Seven days, more than 1,000 miles, 20 cars, two boats, a motorbike and one dream...The Perfect Road Trip. The aim: to select the ideal mode of transport for each leg of a pilgrimage from Venice, Italy to Pau in France – home to a legendary street circuit and the origins of Grand Prix racing. On the way we prepare by taking to the track at Monza – the home of Italian Formula One. We try to get noticed on the road course in Monaco in a Bugatti, a Lamborghini and a Model T Ford. After cruising the canals in Venice we take to the tarmac and things look good - thanks to the Ferrari F12 Berlinetta and Mercedes SLS Black. The Perfect Road Trip 2
In 2013 Jeremy Clarkson and Richard Hammond embarked on what they hoped would be the perfect road trip. It started well and ended, quite frankly, very badly. Unbowed, the Top Gear pair are back for another crack and this time they’re hoping to avoid inconveniences like apprehension by the French police. Welcome, then, to The Perfect Road Trip… 2. Once again, Clarkson and Hammond are seeking joy and perfection wherever it may be with a range of fast, beautiful and exciting cars unleashed on glorious roads amongst gorgeous scenery and drenched in Mediterranean sunshine. As part of their arduous research into perfection, the duo will also undertake some ridiculous challenges and hilarious stunts culminating in a strangely literal car race on the island of Capri. Top Gear – The Perfect Road Trip 2. This time it really is perfect. Except for the bits that aren’t.

There will be swamps, deserts, forests, beaches, and ski slopes for the three V8 sports cars to suffer. There will also be broken bones, mechanical calamities and even some cows. Plus, a climax that wasn’t really on the cards.

Nepal Special
Top Gear sets out on a high-altitude voyage from Kathmandu, capital of Nepal, to the Forbidden City of Lo Manthang, a secretive kingdom perched high on the Tibetan plateau, on the far side of the Himalayas. It is a five-day expedition through the highest mountains, deepest gorges and harshest terrain on the planet. On their journey, the Top Gear presenters battle river crossings, mudslides and dizzying mountain passes on a trip that would test even the hardiest new 4x4s on the planet to the limit. But Paddy, Freddie and Chris aren’t crossing the Himalayas in new 4x4s. They are crossing the Himalayas in a very small old Peugeot, a very small old Renault and Nepal’s first (and only) home-built car.

Top Fails: Volume 1
Part one includes the team building trains out of cars which they subsequently race, attempting to outrun the Stig in a police car while driving an industrial van and destroying houses with different military equipment.
Top Fails: Volume 2
Part two includes the boys attempting to beat the train-based food delivery system in India. They later try their hand at playing with life-sized remote control cars, and James gets himself concussed in the Middle East. As if this weren't enough, we look back at the never ending attempts to destroy a Toyota Hilux that proved pointless.

Clarkson looks at the reasons why Ayrton Senna is considered to be - not only the best driver of his generation but the Greatest F1 Driver of all time - he won the Formula One World Drivers' Championship in 1988, 1990 and 1991 earning him the nickname 'The King Of The Rain'... but sadly passed on May the 1st, 1994 after crashing his car mid-race at the San Marino Grand Prix on the Autodromo Enzo e Dino Ferrari circuit located in Imola, Italy.
