Episodes
Episode 1
Julian Norton, Peter Wright and their staff deal with more animal emergencies including a dog facing an emergency operation to remove a tumour and a prolapsing sheep that has to be treated on the car park.
Episode 2
Julian and head nurse Sarah tend to an injured swan at a fishing lake. Meanwhile, Bobby (a canine member of the North Yorkshire police force) is brought in to the surgery to have an operation.
Episode 3
Julian Norton has to get to grips with castrating alpacas, while Peter Wright attempts to perform a life-changing operation on a dearly loved pug dog that is having breathing difficulties.
Episode 4
Julian takes some bullocks by the horns, a dog needs an emergency operation to remove a bone in its oesophagus, Peter braces himself to treat a feisty ferret, a ram cannot walk after too much mating and the Greens are concerned about their rescue donkey.
Episode 5
Julian answers an emergency call-out to a herd of Alpacas, Peter tries to save the eyesight of a two-day-old lamb, Helen performs an emergency caesarean on a beagle, and seven-year-old Ben brings in his bunnies Hip and Hop to see Peter for a manicure.
Episode 6
Julian Norton returns to Jacki Barlow's alpaca farm to investigate a worrying lump in the mouth of one of her animals, and having recently put another of the alpacas to sleep due to a cancerous growth, the vet fears the worst. Meanwhile, Peter Wright carries out dental surgery on a Yorkshire terrier with a diva-like personality, and Julian tries to get to the bottom of a pygmy goat's skin problem.
Episode 7
Julian Norton and his practice partner Peter Wright have to cope with night-time emergencies, as Julian performs outdoor surgery on a first-time mum and Peter examines a cat with a potentially life-threatening condition. Newly qualified vet Esme Telfer performs her first emergency caesarian at the Skeldale practice, while at Green's farm Treacle the calf falls ill and it is touch-and-go whether she will survive. Later, a pack of bloodhound pups causes chaos in the surgery.
Episode 8
Julian Norton gets a 5am emergency call about a horse with colic, and one of the Skeldale nurses helps out at a local farm during lambing season. Plus, Truffles the guinea pig has a huge lump on her face, and Harvey the randy rabbit is out of control, as is Billy the dog's backside.
Episode 9
Julian Norton is called out to help a pregnant cow that is struggling to give birth to its calf. When it becomes clear the lives of both animals may be in jeopardy, Julian is forced to consider performing an emergency caesarean. Meanwhile, Peter Wright comes to the aid of Lofty, a horse in need of some dental work, and a concerned caller reports a duck with an unusual injury.
Episode 10
The staff of Skeldale Veterinary Centre tend to a poodle with a problem penis, a rabbit with a tooth abscess, an over-amorous donkey and a cow with a large wound to her neck. Later, as the day's work begins to wind down, the vets prepare to say goodbye to Sarah, who is leaving to have a baby.
