Pilot
The Monohan family move into their new home in The Gates, an exclusive community of perfectly manicured lawns and friendly neighbors. But things grow complicated when Nick Monohan, the new Chief of Police, has to investigate those neighbors in a missing persons case during his first day on the job. Claire and Dylan Radcliff fight to hide not only their involvement in Nick's case, but their rather unusual family secret. Meanwhile, Charlie Monohan tries to adjust to his new school, finding a friend in the beautiful but unavailable Andie Bates. Just when his family is finally settling in, Nick's world is rocked by a late-night caller with some terrible news.
What Lies Beneath
Nick investigates the death of the last Chief of Police, disturbed by what he's starting to discover about The Gates. Claire Radcliff deals with the repercussions from her recent transgression, fighting to put the past behind her. At school, Andie struggles to sort out her blossoming feelings for Charlie. And Brett works hard to keep dating Andie while fighting off Lukas' tempting offer to "come running" .
Breach
There's been a robbery at the McCallisters', setting off a series of similar mysterious robberies around town. Meanwhile Brett does his best to get his relationship back on track with Andie, though she still finds herself drawn to Charlie; Lukas encourages Brett to join the pack and blow off a little steam; Leigh is not herself when she loses an important package, and possibly her connection with Marcus; and Claire reunites with an old friend who questions her transformation to a humble housewife.
The Monster Within
A missing hunter casts unwanted attention on Brett and the pack, creating tension with Coach Ross. Meanwhile Nick and Dylan try to put their differences aside during The Gates Father/Daughter Dance, with mixed results; and Andie and Charlie's relationship looks like it's headed for smooth sailing, until an unexpected secret turns everything upside down.
Repercussions
Nick is forced into an alliance with a vampire; Marcus looks into Teresa's disappearance; a recent discovery threatens Andie's new relationship.
Jurisdiction
Nick asks Dylan for help finding the killer when a neighbor is murdered by a vampire; Claire tries to end her arrangement with Christian; Andie decides to not take her medicine.
Digging the Dirt
Dylan and Nick search for a damaging secret about Frank; social politics threaten Sarah's pool party; Devon experiments with Internet dating.
Dog Eat Dog
Nick tries to defuse a possible turf war between werewolves and vampires; Brett and Andie's relationship rekindles; Mia turns to Devon for guidance.
Identity Crisis
An FBI agent searches for a criminal who may have taken refuge in The Gates; Andie grows weaker by the day; Charlie finds himself with an unexpected new crush; Dylan and Claire struggle to repair their bond.
Little Girl Lost
Dylan and Claire ask Nick for help after Emily is kidnapped. Nick's search will lead him outside The Gates and to some horrific truths about their vampire past. Sarah, who's feeling left out, presses Nick for details about the case. The realities of Brett's relationship with Andie surface while Charlie becomes aware that those around him are not human.
Surfacing
Nick's past comes back to haunt him - again. Emily's Aunt Nancy shows up with a social worker to find out all about the Radcliffe's home life and Claire fears this could be dangerous for her family. Dana makes a concerted effort to reunite Charlie and Andie but romance is put on the back burner when someone or something schemes to torment the Monohan family.
Bad Moon Rising
Vanessa and Frank's latest decision may just tear apart The Gates. Sarah shuns those around her and seeks temporary relief with Devon after learning that The Gates abounds with Supernaturals, but she's going to learn that Devon is the one person she can't trust. Brett is enraged that Andie and Charlie are back together but his extreme actions to remedy this will have far-reaching effects.
Moving Day
Devastated by recent events, the Monohans decide to leave The Gates; the Radcliffes pursue Devon; Brett desperately searches for Andie.
