Passover

While attending a Passover seder at Didi's parents' house, Boris and the children (and later, most of the adults), get locked in the attic because the door does not open from the inside. To pass the time, Boris tells the children the story of why Jews celebrate Passover, and how Moses saved his people from slavery.

Chanukah

After Grandma Minka tells some of the story of Chanukah, Grandpa Boris was infuriated after hearing that at last minute, Boris was replaced by an old rival for the role of King Antiochus, "...the meaning of Chanukah" in a Chanukah play. The babies are convinced that the rival is "the meany of Chanukah" and the babies are determined to get the "meany", while Stu makes a mechanical menorah (candlabre to put the eight candles of Chanukah), he has to go all the way to the synagogue where the play is at to bring his menorah.

Taffy tells the kids the tale of Snow White as the Wicked Queen (Angelica) plots to get rid of Snow White (Susie), who lives with the Seven Babies who work in their diaper factory.

Angelica says to the class, during circle time, that she wants to be a News Anchor. To make this exciting, Mrs. Weemer tells the class that they will make a news show, and watch it at 2:00. Angelica wants to make exciting news, but Susie rejects these ideas, and wants to show the right news. To make an enormous story, Angelica pressures one of her classmates to climb a tree, but things backfire when Angelica gets scared when she's in the tree, too.

The class prepares for their first school pictures, but Harold worries because he has never taken a good picture in his entire life. To calm his fears, Susie convinces Angelica to stand next to him, but when Savannah states that it will ruin her reputation for the rest of her school career, she has doubts about her deal with Harold.
