The Inbit have conquered Earth and driven the survivors to Mars after a humiliating defeat. Now, the displaced Earthicans are back to retake their home. Codename: Robotech is a greatly extended version of "Gloval's Report", the fourteenth television episode that summarizes the beginning of the series. It was aired on some television stations before the broadcast of the series in 1985. Available in the Robotech Legacy collection and the complete Protoculture collection.
Robotech: The Untold Story
In 1999 an alien spaceship crashed onto the earth. Hidden on board were the secrets of a unique science known as Robotechnology. Databanks found in the ship were transferred to the Earth Robotech Computer Complex. In 2009, an alien search party arrived from hyper-space to reclaim their lost databank. The united Earth Government was forced into an Inter Galactic war. Earth forces were able to win the first battle......but at a great cost. The planet was virtually destroyed. New population centres grew out of the ashes..... It is now 2027, a second armada sent by the aliens is nearing earth, they have come to recapture the secrets of their lost technology and then destroy the Earth.
Robotech II: The Sentinels
In this movie consisting of the first three episodes of the abortive TV sequel series, we rejoin the characters of the first Macross portion of the series a couple of years after the destruction of Superdimensional Fortesses 1 and 2. Now, General Rick Hunter and Admiral Lisa Hayes are making the final preparations for a crucial intersteller expedition to the Robotech Masters' world of Tirol using the newly built SDF-3. This immense task is further complicated by preparations for their wedding which they agreed would be on the new ship just before it launches. Unknown to them however, the Robotech Masters are already enroute to Earth in a long voyage to reclaim the desperately needed protoculture energy supply that was hidden in SDF-1 and won't arrive for years. With their absence, the Invid, lead by the male leader of that enemy race to the Masters, the Regent, is attacking that weakened planet. He hopes to recover the stolen protoculture supply there, or at least exact genocidal revenge on his enemy.
The Shadow Chronicles
As the returning Robotech Expeditionary Force (REF) prepares to retake the Earth from the Invid, Vince Grant and the crew of the Icarus is sent in search of the missing Admiral Rick Hunter and the SDF-3 after their transmission is cut off. Unknown to the REF however, a new alien menace has begun their plan to eliminate all races that use Protoculture - Human and Invid alike.
