The assistant curator of a museum is found murdered. The lady was very close to Carole, so she set out to investigate. The prime suspect pleads innocence. The motive is clear: the possession of a valuable Egyptian tablet.
Pilot
Two ex-wives of an ex-detective are summoned to the reading of the will after he is murdered in his office. They discover they've inherited his rundown mansion office- and a 50/50 partnership in the detective agency. Their first matter of business is a reluctant collaboration to track down their husband's killer, which leads to a dangerous search for a valuable art piece.
The Duke
Duke Kovack wants to help an ex-convict collect his hidden loot. Duke's daughter, Sydney, secretly watches her father. She arrives just in time to rescue him from a dangerous situation. Duke, Syd's father, is searching for a bronze dog. Syd locates the figure at a Chinatown gambling house, and while inspecting the piece, she comes across a key hidden inside it.
Paddles Up
At an auction, Carole meets a retriever of lost museum pieces. He is interested in retrieving a brooch included in the auction catalogue. A fat man who bids higher for the jewel is subsequently killed.
Is She or Isn't She?
A spoiled car manufacturer's son is involved in a kidnapping case. Carole and Sydney encounter plenty of unusual surprises along the way. Carole and Syd investigate the kidnapping of a young man; the only witness is a hoarse-voiced actress. The stakes get higher when the kidnappers demand a set of top-secret sports car plans as ransom.
Fantasyland
Carole and Syd outwit a gangster while investigating the murder of one of Syd's childhood friends. Petty crook Bennie wants to turn his back on the crooks' milieu and is shot. The charming duo wants to find the murderer. To do this, Carole gets hired as a dancer in a nightclub. She uncovers a drug ring.
The Set-Up
Carole and Syd come to the aid of police Lt. Vronsky when he comes under investigation for murder and embezzlement. An undercover operation goes wrong, and Lieutenant Vronsky is suspended from duty on suspicion of murder. Finally, the charming duo gets their chance to return the favor and help him out of his predicament.

Carole and Syd don the latest fashions when they pose as models in an attempt to capture a design thief and solve a murder. A famous fashion designer's latest ideas are stolen and sold as cheap knock-offs. An attempt is made to ruin him. In this world of glitz and glamour, Carole and Sydney uncover sabotage, fraud, and murder.
The Strangler
Carole and Syd unravel the identity of a strangler who leaves red handkerchiefs around the victims' necks. In a posh district of San Francisco, a murderer is on the loose, strangling women with a red scarf. A surviving strangler victim puts Carole and Sydney on the right track.
Getting in Shape
A blackmailer is doing his business at a health resort. It's not all about physical activity at a health resort. A killer is planning a terrorist attack on a popular politician there. Carole and Sydney will have to be in pretty good shape to stop their adversary.
Double Jeopardy
Three gangsters escape from prison. They plan to retrieve the hidden loot from a previous robbery at an old port. When the police arrive, they take Caulfield's widows hostage. Three escaped convicts take Carole and Syd as hostages when they seek a hiding place from the police.
