The Weight of Sin
18 years later, Rochelle finds herself knee deep in unpaid bills, including Kim’s school fees, but Rochelle promises to sort it out, hopeful for a promotion at work. Vinny offers Clive money to get electricity reconnected, but Clive rejects the help.
For Dedda
Desperate to help restore electricity at home, Boitjie asks Zyf for a loan, but when Zyf refuses, Boitjie steals Vinny’s money. Natasha’s attempt to spice things up are misread by Quinton, who is struggling with the guilt of hiding that he found Rochelle. Patrick’s attempt to get a job at the supermarket, so he can see Fareedah every day, gets shut down.
Family Feuds
Paradys gathers to celebrate Clive’s 60th birthday, but beneath the joviality, deep tensions begin to surface. A confrontation outside the house spirals out of control, and a single gunshot turns the festivities into a nightmare that shakes the entire community.
Paradise Falls
Clive fights for his life, Rochelle struggles to hide the truth, and Vinny tightens his grip as Paradys hunts for Clive’s shooter.
This Thing Killed Life
Hope turns to heartbreak when Clive dies at the hospital, leaving the Booysen family reeling with grief and blame. Rochelle and Natasha’s long-standing conflict intensifies, and Kim struggles to cope with the sudden family she never knew.
The Mourning
Vinny reveals to Boitjie that he organised his arrest and gives Boitjie an ultimatum: keep quiet and be protected, or whistle and be destroyed. Tension rises between Natasha and Rochelle as Natasha intentionally leaves Rochelle off the funeral program. Patrick advises the Booysens to do things right to avoid bad luck.
When The Time Comes
The Booysen family lay Clive to rest, but the funeral brings long buried wounds to the surface. Rochelle’s eulogy sparks hope for a reunion with her estranged sister. But just as healing begins, Elizabeth uncovers Clive’s hidden letter, leaving a lion’s share of his estate to Rochelle.
The Will
Elizabeth starts to read Clive’s will to the family but in a moment of motherhood fairness, decides to change up what Clive wrote to spare Natasha’s feelings. Rochelle tries to soothe Natasha, explaining that she knew nothing of the letter/will and Natasha demands that Rochelle relinquishes her share to her.
Versions of the Truth
Rochelle decides to rebuild her life in Paradys, glowing with renewed purpose and love, until Rev Frankie comes with a detective who wants to question her. As she commits to staying and taking over the family business, Natasha plans to reclaim Kim.
Destruction
The Booysen family continues to reel from Clive’s death as grief and suspicion linger. Rochelle grows increasingly worried about Boitjie’s emotional state and refuses to sign Vinny’s questionable statement. Vinny tightens his grip behind the scenes, pressuring Boitjie and working to keep the truth buried. Determined to prove himself, Boitjie steps up financially for the family, but his sudden generosity raises Rochelle’s suspicions. When she confronts him, he shuts her down, reopening old wounds about her absence.
We Found The Suspect
Tensions erupt when Rochelle confronts Natasha and Quinton over Kim as Liz tries to restore unity with a hopeful family photo shoot. Vinny pulls vulnerable Muggie closer into his orbit for a dangerous purpose. Across Paradys, relationships strain, and emotions run high, with Quinton and Natasha clashing over Kim’s future while Wanita and Nkateko struggle with unresolved feelings.
Boitjie’s Lie
As the fallout from Muggie’s arrest ripples through the community, Rochelle grows uneasy after sensing that something about his confession doesn’t add up. The truth begins to surface and Vinny orchestrates the cover-up, manipulating Muggie into taking the blame. Boitjie sinks deeper into the lie. His bond with Faith strengthens as Zyf grows suspicious.
Of Guilt and Alibis
The community gathers in church to celebrate the capture of Clive’s supposed killer, but beneath the relief, Boitjie is consumed by guilt for falsely identifying Muggie. Rochelle pushes for answers after her encounter with Muggie, convinced his confession feels rehearsed, but Officer Botma shuts her down. As the community rallies for justice and Muggie prepares for court, pressure mounts for everyone to “stick to the story.” Boitjie spirals under the weight of guilt. At home, Rochelle and Natasha’s conflict erupts into a near-physical confrontation over Kim.
Too Much of a Good Thing
Vinny grows increasingly anxious when Muggie threatens to confess the truth about Clive’s murder.
