An old man is shot to death in his own living room right before Christmas and the valuable vintage banknote is missing from his apartment. Investigators are extremely quick to find the suspect but something is not quite right.

Autumn in the city is disturbed by a series of murders, every victim was killed by a paratrooper's knife but there is absolutely no connection between them. It almost seems like the unpredictable killer keeps choosing his victims randomly.
Brought in suspects
A controversial real estate entrepreneur blows up in his car. Turns out he just paid off ransom for his kidnapped wife who was then released by her abductors. The investigation leads to the real perpetrator who was hiding in plain sight.
Between Heaven and Earth
Machrák and Novotná are on their way to interrogate a medium who says that she has been communicating with a dead body lying in a grave that belongs to someone else. This routine visit ends in tragedy and uncovers a shocking family secret.
