Episode 1
The novel *My Villainous Boyfriend* begins with the female protagonist, Nan Xiaoxing, being the same age as the author, Nan Xing. She has just graduated with a bachelor's degree in discus throwing and lives with her mother, Anina. She possesses a chivalrous spirit and is a locally renowned heroine. After graduation, due to injury, she abandons her athletic career and, following her interests.
Episode 2
Before the summoning occurred, Xiao Wudi clearly heard Nanxing's inner monologue. Xiao Wudi was almost certain that his arrival in the modern world was related to Nanxing. To figure out their relationship, Xiao Wudi had to help Nanxing escape. Nanxing finally connected the ancient-dressed man before her with the "demon" Xiao Wudi from the book. Terrified, Nanxing tried to run away.
Episode 3
After Xiao Wudi defeated the robbers, Nanxing's impression of him improved slightly. To express her gratitude, Nanxing led Wudi to room 302 on the opposite floor, letting him stay there temporarily. Wudi seemingly casually asked Nanxing why she was afraid of fire. Nanxing explained that she had lost her family in an accident when she was young, leaving her with a chronic fear of fire.
Episode 4
After being summoned repeatedly, Xiao Wudi deduced that he was bound to Nanxing and had to help her fulfill her absurd wishes. The usually unrestrained Xiao Wudi naturally refused and resolved to move out, but he inadvertently saw a small guide to modern life that Nanxing had left him, and his soft heart changed his mind, leading him to promise Nanxing a love that would be unforgettable.
Episode 5
To help Nanxing find a boyfriend, Xiao Wudi tries to "reshape" her by tricking her into blind dates. However, the men Xiao Wudi arranges for Nanxing are all strange-looking. Desperate to escape, Nanxing is approached by a call from Ye Qing, who asks her to go to Lu Zichen's house to retrieve a manuscript. Following Ye Qing's instructions, Nanxing goes to Lu Zichen's house to get the manuscript.
Episode 6
Xiao Wudi's plan was ridiculed by Nanxing, who confessed that she had never liked Xiao Wudi. The proud Xiao Wudi, his pride wounded, secretly plotted to prove Nanxing's previous claim of disliking him was a lie. X Culture faced its biggest public relations crisis since Nanxing joined the company. Lu Zichen's new chapter, "The Death of Su Yu," sparked fan outrage.
Episode 7
Although reluctant, Lu Zichen still promoted Nanxing to a permanent position. Overjoyed, Nanxing took Xiao Wudi to experience modern life as a token of her gratitude. Xiao Wudi revealed her innocent and adorable side, and Nanxing bluntly stated that Xiao Wudi didn't seem like a bad person, but Xiao Wudi was unwilling to honestly accept the compliment.
Episode 8
Xiao Wudi, having devised his own plan, regretted it. He interrupted Nanxing and Lu Zichen's meeting, exposing his identity as the "mastermind" to Nanxing. Nanxing was furious at Xiao Wudi's scheming. The two parted on bad terms. Late that night, Xiao Wudi was alone at home, lost in thought. He pondered why he had ruined the plan himself, ultimately suspecting that he might have fallen for Nanxing
Episode 9
Nanxing, drunk, fell asleep at Wudi's house. Wudi quietly carried her back to the next room, but before leaving, Nanxing, still asleep, grabbed him. Wudi, immersed in happiness, forgot to go home and slept beside Nanxing's bed all night. He only realized his feelings for her the next morning. Realizing his own feelings, Wudi panicked.
Episode 10
Xiao Wudi was summoned to the escape room shop by Nanxing and had no choice but to agree to play with her. However, the escape room NPC arranged for him to be alone with Nanxing in a separate room, making Wudi, who didn't want to expose himself, extremely anxious. He had no choice but to quickly overcome obstacles and solve the puzzles.
Episode 11
Wudi feigned illness to appease Nanxing, and was overjoyed to see her so devotedly caring for him while he was "sick." However, Nanxing still had to work, so she asked Annina to cover for her the next day. Since Wudi was only faking illness, Annina's care made him feel burdened, forcing him to "recover." Lu Zichen was frustrated by the lack of progress in his relationship with Ye Qing.
Episode 12
Encouraged by Ye Qing, Nanxing began brainstorming ideas for her novel. Wudi, as "material," was indispensable in Nanxing's writing process, resulting in ample time spent together. Lacking romantic experience, Nanxing was advised by Wudi to experience the feeling of being in a relationship together, but at the last minute, she hesitated, changing the romantic elements of the novel.
Episode 13
Nanxing was extremely uncomfortable with Xiao Wudi's uncharacteristically gentle and considerate nature, and her writing stalled because she couldn't find a prototype for the male lead. Xiong Sisi was scammed by the gym where she worked part-time. Upon learning this, Nanxing was indignant, thinking that evil people would be punished by evil people, so she took Xiao Wudi to collect the debt.
Episode 14
Nanxing and Xiao Wudi resolved their previous misunderstandings and, after some discussion, decided to work together on their writing. Both were in high spirits, discussing the plot and revising the novel together, submitting the manuscript before the deadline. Nanxing was somewhat dissatisfied with the dating scenes in the novel.
Episode 15
Nanxing mustered her courage and invited Wudi to join the writers' gathering, which Wudi readily agreed to. Meanwhile, Lu Zichen and Ye Qing also arrived at the venue. Lu Zhenliang, the always strict father, still belittled his son in front of the alumni, hoping his son would one day inherit his company.
Episode 16
After dinner, Nanxing, Xiao Wudi, and the group parted ways. Xiao Wudi, feigning exhaustion, returned to her room, lost in thought. Suddenly, Nanxing summoned her. Worried about a possible panic attack, Xiao Wudi covered her eyes from behind, angrily asking what she was doing there. Nanxing replied that it was a popular spot for confessions.
Episode 17
Nanxing, experiencing her first love, was filled with joy, even radiating happiness at work. In contrast, Lu Zichen was shrouded in gloom. He couldn't face Ye Qing's rejection, couldn't distinguish between work and personal feelings, and was unable to manage his relationship with Ye Qing. Ye Qing was in a difficult position. To get Lu Zichen back on track, she chose to resign.
Episode 18
Xiao Wudi accepted Nanxing's apology but remained dejected, feeling unreal and his life meaningless. Nanxing, unable to answer Xiao Wudi's question, pondered the meaning of life until Anina enlightened him: the meaning of life isn't something you think about, but something you live. Nanxing immediately comforted Xiao Wudi, telling him to stop worrying about his identity.
Episode 19
Nanxing searched everywhere for Xiao Wudi without success. Then she realized that since he had given her a love that was etched in her heart, his mission was complete, so she returned. Xiao Wudi also found himself back in the Hehuan Palace, and tried several times to return to Nanxing's side without success. Nanxing experienced her first heartbreak.
Episode 20
Nanxing initially thought she would remain calm, but during a heart-to-heart talk with Ye Qing over drinks, her pent-up emotions finally broke down, and she wept uncontrollably. After venting her emotions, Nanxing received instructions from Lu Zichen to retrieve a manuscript from the company. Lu Zichen had already lost his house and moved to the company.
Episode 21
After moving into Nanxing's house, Lu Zichen witnessed Nanxing's busy work schedule and understood Ye Qing's feelings from years ago. Reflecting on his immaturity, Lu Zichen proactively apologized to Ye Qing, expressing his desire to let her pursue her own interests and not be bound by him. Ye Qing was troubled, wondering what she truly loved.
Episode 22
Nanxing initially didn't take her panic attack seriously, thinking it was just stress and she'd be fine after a couple of days of rest. Xiao Wudi, however, realized the seriousness of the situation. Under his questioning, Nanxing recounted her past with Mao Xiaojun and the fire from years ago. Xiao Wudi was convinced Nanxing's inner turmoil was related to that incident.
Episode 23
When Lu Zichen learned that his new assistant was Ye Qing, his first reaction was to fire her. It wasn't until Ye Qing explained that her passion was helping him that Lu Zichen accepted her, and the two finally reconciled. Faced with Lu Zhenliang's attempts to make things difficult, Lu Zichen decided to no longer be weak and bravely step forward to protect Ye Qing.
Episode 24
Like any ordinary couple, Xiao Wudi and Nanxing happily chose their wedding day, registered their marriage, and even planned to use apartment 302 as their marital home. On their wedding day, all their relatives and friends came to witness their happiness. At the wedding, their junior apprentice, Xiao Hao, proposed to Xiong Sisi. A few years later, Nanxing's novel had become a huge success.
