Juan's past is revealed thanks to Ruswan. It turns out that Juan had an illicit love affair with Lala, the wife of a cloth merchant, which resulted in a baby who later died of illness. Juan was then left by Lala who returned to her first husband. Ruswan's story even adds to Maudy's curiosity. He wanted to know more but Ruswan only directed Maudy to a shop owned by Ridho, Lala's husband.
