Vimla's Ghost
Mishri comes to a peepal tree to offer sweets to Vimla on her death anniversary. As soon as Mishri leaves, the sweets disappear. A few people in the neighborhood feel the presence of a ghost around them.

Vimla's ghost continues to haunt the entire village. Everyone is scared of Chotu mama as he starts speaking and acting like late Vimla. Chotu is made to sit through an exorcism by an exorcist.

Mukundi goes crazy after hearing Chukundi talk from inside a big manhole. This becomes a matter of concern and as the media comes to cover the incident. After a lot of chaos, Chukundi is taken out of the manhole.

A fake note owned by Mukundi is circulated around the village before it reaches a policeman. Mukundi gets caught for producing fake currency but the real culprit is somebody else.

A blood donation camp is set in Lapataganj which excites all the villagers. Indu is adamant about donating blood even though Mukundi is against it.
Sureeli to Marry a Dog
Mishri gets convinced to get Sureeli married to a dog, which according to the priest will clear the fault in her stars. Sureeli cries her eyes out when she finds out that she is going to get married to a dog.
Pappu Accepts a Challenge
Pappu picks up the dog Sureeli is getting married to, and once again asks Mishri if he can marry Sureeli. Pappu accepts the challenge of earning five thousand rupees in a week to get married to Sureeli.
Pappu Goes to Extremes
A reward of five thousand rupees is announced to whoever rides a bicycle for five days straight. Pappu takes up the challenge to fulfill Mishri's condition for getting Sureeli married to Pappu.
Pappu Refuses to Give Up
Pappu is shocked to know that his drink was spiked by Chotu mama so that he fails to finish the challenge. Even after facing extreme troubles, Pappu does not give up.

While everyone falls asleep, Guddu runs behind Pappu providing him moral support. He finally finishes the challenge and wins the prize money. Mishri refuses to stand by her words after learning that Pappu spent the money on someone in need.

Mukundi is taken to the police station as he is the only witness to the cobbler and barber's fight. Pappu tries his best to see Sureeli but Mishri and Chotu always come in his way.

Guddu is put behind the bars when a policeman finds him wearing a fake uniform. When Guddu reveals that he was playing a cop to help Pappu, the policemen start looking for him.
Indu Buys a Television Set
Mukundi is rewarded with ten thousand rupees for being the most hardworking employee. Indu claims her right on the money and announces that she is going to buy a television set.
The Craze For Tv
When Mukundi asks the villagers to pay for getting the TV repaired, all of them back off. Once the TV is repaired, he makes sure nobody gets to watch TV in his house and kicks everyone out.
Pappu Gets Beaten Up By Mishri
Indu convinces Mishri to accompany her to watch a film. Even though Sureeli has exams the next day, Pappu takes her to the theatre with him. When Mishri sees Sureeli with Pappu, she beats him up.

While Sureeli writes her exam, Pappu and Guddu disguise as women and throw chits at her, so that she passes her exam. Sureeli clears her exam with distinction even though she refuses to cheat.

A minister reaches Mukundi's house with cops to complain against the elephant. Sureeli is on cloud nine after Pappu surprises her with a new cellphone. Indu decides to plan a feast for all her fellow villagers.

People in Lapataganj are worried seeing the elephant lie motionless on the ground. They revive with joy when it wakes up in the morning. Indu cries her eyes out when the elephant is taken to the jungle in order to provide it with a safer life.
The Talking Tree
A drunk man from Lapataganj experiences a tree talking to him but nobody believes him. The man takes Pappu to the talking tree and even he is bewildered to see the tree talk.
The Truth Behind Gyandev
Pappu takes Sureeli to the talking tree and it seems to understand everything Sureeli intends to say. Mukundi tells Pappu that the tree knows the questions to all the answers, as it was built where either a school or library used to be.

Even after waiting in the long queue, Mukundi and other fellow villagers fail to get groceries. Seeing inflation, Mukundi is anxious. With inflation, every other commodity's rates increase leaving the people of Lapataganj worried.

While Tamatarilal and Shakkarchand visit Netaji, the people of the Lapataganj also go to Netaji to get an answer from him. They ask him for his help as the grocery prices are going high.

Lallan rescues a person, who apparently is a slipper thief, Tufan Singh. The police announced that he is getting a reward for catching the thief. The villagers stand together for defending Lallan, after hearing his story.

Chameli's new friend in burqa, Jamila arrives at Lapataganj. Chotu and Elija try to enquire about her, but somehow Chameli manages. At PWD office, Lallan's colleagues are talking behind his back, when suddenly he emerges.

Chotu and Elija inform Lallan that Tufan Singh came to visit him. The duo works out to bash away Tufan but there is a confusion with the burqa and they beat up Lallan in place of Tufan.

There arises a confusion about who actually own Kachua's house. Kachua then works towards proving that he is Kachua and is alive.

Mukundi urges the collector to have a word with Chotu. The collector convinces Chotu to not drive rickshaw anymore and try other better ways to earn his livelihood.

People in Lapataganj are taken aback when Mishri tells them that Lallan's car has a corpse in the back seat. They immediately inform the cops who come to investigate the case.

Lallan is put behind bars in the charge for having kept a dead body in his car. Bindu cries her eyes out when the cops refuse to bail him out.
Car Thief
Eijji and Guddu, along with the villagers, catch hold of Panna Boss trying to steal Lallan's car and the diamond. The police intervenes at the right time to help the villagers.

The villagers are perplexed at Indu's decision of standing as the Village Chief against Bahadur Singh. Mukundi is shocked to see the villagers support Indu in her decision.

Bahadur Singh is tensed with his opponent in the election. Sugandhi tells Chukundi to write down a speech for Indu, and Salima helps Indu to prepare her speech. Indu messes up the speech, so she speaks out of her heart.

After Gandhi Vidyalaya's door open, two villagers try to go inside the place at night and get thrown away by a wave of energy. Mishri attempts to find out and gets herself into trouble.

Vivek, the lawyer arrives to inform Lallan that he cannot expand his place. Mishri saves Lallan from his crisis and the villagers are in shock with her transformation. Chotu tries to find out about Mishri and gets attacked by her.

Rajjo tells the villagers about the ghost who wanted to get everyone educated. The villagers finally understand that Mishri is possessed. The villagers start studying in front of Mishri and soon enough the goons arrive in search of the sacks.

Chota Babbar interrogates the villagers about the sacks. Elija also gets possessed and teach the goons a good lesson. The villagers start getting scared of each other.

Mukundi thinks Indu is possessed when she triess teaching her children. Lallan is clueless with the ghosts and cannot sleep. Chotu sells talisman to the villagers which Mukundi opposes and Indu promises to make Bhavanis unfulfilled wishes come true.

Finally, there is a teacher for Gandhi Vidyalaya and it will reopen. The goons try to flame up the school but Bhavanis ghost prevents them. The villagers get prepared for school and their new teacher astonishes them.
Dacoits At Lapataganj
Chotu tries to scheme Suttilal but they catch him red-handed, so he tells them a story about a dacoit, Jalim Singh. The arrival of the dacoits leaves the villagers in a trauma.
Chotu Becomes a Dacoit
Chotu confronts the chief dacoit, Kroor Singh. Mishri breaks down when the dacoits take Chotu along with them, presuming his origin is from their same clan. The villagers file a report but there is still no hope.
Mirchas Love For Suttilal
Mishri's dream of Chotu as a dacoit keeps haunting her. When the dacoits come to take Suttilal, Mircha attacks them so the daciots carry them both back to their den.
Confectioner In Demand
Mircha and Suttilal prepare food for the dacoits but to their horror all food gets vanished as Mircha has all of the food. The police are unable to get them back and the dacoit chief gets irritated with Mircha.
The Spy In Lapataganj
Mirza is shocked to know Guddu's awareness. The villagers bash up Suttilal assuming him as dacoit. Suttilal acts as a middle man to inform the dacoits and they soon arrive at Mukundi's post office.

The villagers curse the spy, as the dacoits have all the information about Lapataganj now. Mircha keeps the dacoits in control with her violence. Lapataganj residents get ready to attack the dacoits as they have had enough.
Failed Attempts
The dacoits arrive and the villagers fail to stop them. Suttilal almost expresses that he is the spy. The dacoits attack PWD office and take Chaurasia from Lapataganj.

Chotu strangles Suttilal while comparing him as the spy. Lallan is devated after the dacoits loot him. The villagers get busy to find out the spy.
Suttilal Gets Caught
Elija plan to feed and get the dacoits unconcious fails miserably when Kachua has the food in their place. Mukundi realises that Suttilal calls Kroor Singh.
Confronts Suttilal
Suttilal reveals that he has done it all for Mircha's safety. Suttilal with the help of the villagers places bait for Kroor Singh to have Mircha back. The dacoits get to see the women power of Lapataganj but there is a twist in the story.

Lambodar Prasad a.k.a. Tilu comes to tell that he is Chotu's son and Chameli is devasted to see him. Mishri is excited to see her nephew in Lapataganj. Chukundi and Bhagyalaxmi befriend Tilu as he feels lonely.
Chotu Loves His Son
Tilu plans to reunite his father with Chameli and targets to pester Chameli in various ways. Tilu befriends Chameli gradually and Chotu is excited to see them.
Tilus Try
Chotu is sad on hearing the news of Chamelis wedding so Tilu pretends to read her hand to bring the estranged couple close again. But Chameli still avoids talking to Chotu.
Chameli On a Date
Chameli goes for a movie where Lallan accompanies her, Tilu and Chotu also join them. Two strange fellows try to molest her and Chotu retaliates.

Tilu's plan fails but he finally speaks out the truth. Chotu and Tilu are about to leave Lapataganj, but on everyone's request, Lallan makes a life-changing decision.
Brother-sister Day
Lallan visits Chameli to celebrate this togetherness of siblings. Bhagyalaxmi celebrates the day with Chukundi and Tilu. Chukundi gets bullied at the school and follows Tilu's suggestion.
Chukundi's Expulsion
Golu loses the challenge he put forward to Chukundi. Police arrive at school to investigate who broke the lock and Golu starts blackmailing Chukundi.
Golu's Blackmailing
Chukundi requests Chameli to prepare halwa for Golu. But, Golu starts demanding more. So, Chukundi decides to tell everything to Mukundi.
Tilu Wants to Study
Tilu pesters his father to get him admitted to a school. Golu and Chunnu-Munnu get punished for the same homework. Golu orders Chukundi to get a shirt for him and Chukundi requests Elija to help him out.
Chukundi's New Classmate
Chotu gives a treat to the villagers for Tilu joining the school. Chukundi is stuck as Golu and Chunnu-Munnu increase their demand on knowing that Mukundi will get a reward.
Golu Gets Exposed
Chukundi's teacher loses his money so there is a search conducted at the classroom, revealing all the antics of Golu. Mukundi returns back home early with his reward and goes to Chukundi's school.
Chotu Goes Missing
Mukundi struggles to manage the household chores and balances it well with office work. Indu is back and excited to see her husband and son get prizes. Chotu is missing since the morning and so Mishri loses her cool.
Chotu In News
The voxpop says Chotu challenged Tinku, the thief to come to Lapataganj. Tinku, simultaneously accepts his challenge and arrives at Lapataganj. Alongside, Mishri, the constable also visits at the same time, and takes the information about the villagers.
Tinkus First Failure
Lallan shares safety tips with his neighbours as he still fears the threat from Tinku. Mishra, on the other hand takes measurement of Lallans house. Tilu starts doubting Mishras behaviour.
Robbery At Elija's
Tinkus robbery attempt fails at Lallans and Chotus place. Indu calls for an assembly to discuss about and gather money for Ruksanas ailment. Tinku steals the full cash amount at Elija's place.
Tinku Mishra
Chotu shows the villagers a jackpot that is Tinku lying unconscious at Gandhi Vidyalaya. Mishra constable is actually Tinku thief. Chotu reveals he could catch Tinku only with Tilu's help.
Bindu's Calling
The men at Lapataganj are elated to know that their wives are going for a pilgrim tour. Mukundi is upset and doesn't want Indu to go. Chotu pesters Mishri for extra money. Inspector Devidas Singh enters, who is an ardent follower of the Goddess, and a feminist.
Dancer At Lapataganj
Guddus friend, Bhimsen, Nautanki wale arrives at Lapataganj. The villagers convince Lallan to pay him and pursue Mukundi to attend the function. Devidas hears about the dancer and decides to take an action against Lapataganj.
Misson : Women
Chotu asks help from Lallan as Inspector Devidas tries to intervene in their village function. Suttilal asks Elija to dress up as a woman once again. Lallan pretends to be a woman for saving all the men of Lapataganj.
Women Of Lapataganj
The new Daroga appointed catches men disguised as women of Lapataganj in their absence and gives an ultimatum of 2 days to get the women back. Mamaji and his son manage to get samosa in the absence of women in town.
Men In Trouble
Mukundi and all the men of Lapataganj try to reach their wives and women who are out of town. Suttilal has a scary dream of getting beaten up by the Daroga and other policemen as the ultimatum gets closer.
Women Back In Town
People of Lapataganj are about to leave the village as the Daroga comes in time to stop them from running away from him and to arrest them. Kachua chacha manages to get the women back and rescue the men of Lapataganj.
Moustache, Pride Of Lapataganj
Mukundi's coleague Mishra ji gets praised for his looks before he gets his moustache shaved and made is fun of. Meanwhile Suttilals mausaji comes in town for a visit and is angry over people without a moustache.
Fake Moustaches In Lapataganj
To impress his Mausaji Suttilal gets a fake moustache for himself. Tilu gets a fake moustache too and as a prank puts it on her buaji who unknowingly roams around in the village before being caught and so does Suttilal.
Moustaches In Trouble
Pudina chacha decides to solve the moustache problem by taking off mausaji's moustache using a prank. Mukundi plays hide and seek with his children. Mausaji's old enemy visits Lapataganj and as revenge wants to shave the moustaches of everyone present in Lapataganj.
Indumati Saves The Village
Suttilal tries to save Mausaji from the enemies and Indumati arrives inbetween to save Sutilal from the beating and helps save the village. Mukundi has a strange issue where his left eye doesnst stop blinking which is a sign of something bad coming his way.
Bad Time For Mukundi
Mukundi is troubled by the fact that his salary is gonna arrive a month late. Elija lost a needle and goes to Mukundi for help. Mamaji's wife is back after a long time and is upset that she was away for a long time.
Elija's Gift to Mukundi
Elija feels bad that Mukundi burnt his hands because of him so he decides to get him a present which makes everyone excited. Suttilal finds all his samosas to be bitten from the top and Mamaji decides to act as a detective and solve the crime.
Mamaji Caught As Spy
Mamaji decides to get a cooker for himself and Kachua chacha advises him to get one with an ISI mark and writes it on his arm. The Commissioner gives the Daroga info that a spy from ISI has entered the village, and they catch Mamaji instead.
Policemen Get Punished
The policemen try to punish the captured Mamaji which goes wrong and end up hurting themselves. Mukundi, Kachua chacha, and Elija go to the same police station in search of Mamaji and find him.
Mamaji and Lallan Fight
Mamaji and Lallan have a fight and are upset with each other, so mamaji stops talking to other people as well. Indumati and co decide to end this fight and take several measures.
Mamaji, Jijaji Friends Again
Indumati and Bindumati decide to haunt Mamaji and Jijaji with scary stories to resolve their fight. Indumati dresses as a witch and scares both of them off and asks them to stop fighting and come back together.
Makundi Teaches His Chilldren
Makundi and Indumati teach their children how to write a letter and recieve one at their home from their children. Mamaji is mad at mausiji that she didn't bring Chameli along with her and Tilu.
Biji Bhaiya is Back
Indumati and Bindumati compete over who has the better curtains and fight over about whose place is Chachiji going to stay over. Biji bhaiya comes to the Lapatagnj after a very long time.
Indu and Bindu Compete
Indumati and Bindumati compete again and get sofa sets for their places for whose is better. Tilu hears Biju bhaiya and blackmails him about telling Buaji everything.
Bijji Pandey is Rich
Bijji Pandey astonishes every one at the tea stall with his behaviour. He uses a hundred rupee note to hold the hot cup of tea at Suthilals shop and walks away after a show stunt. Mukundi on the other hand is tensed about money. Bijji pandey trains Indumati and Bindumati to carry western clothes and walk in heels, in the Mumbai style. The villagers are surprised looking at them flaunt their new style.
Where will Sudha Chachi Stay?
Indumati and Bindumati are in competition to welcome Sudha Chachi to their respective homes. They push their husbands out of their homes so they get used to sleeping outside, while Sudha Chachi stays at home. Mausi tries to make Indumati understand that she need not fight with her sister. Indumati plans to get a dress stitched for Chachi and so does Bindumati. Busy Pandey creates confusion by pitching in details to both of them.
Indumati Loves Bindumati
Sudha Chachi arrives and everyone gathers around to welcome her. Indumati and Bindumati fight yet again to keep her in their homes. Mukundi explains the reason of the fight to Sudha Chachi. Sudha Chachi reminds them of their childhood days and of the love they had for each other. The two sisters felt sorry for being envious of each other and hugged each other with love.
Shiek Visits Suthilals Shop
Busy Pandey fools Suthilal and eats everything he has prepared in the shop. While the villagers are going to punish him, his twin brother, Eji Pandey arrives in the village and tells them that he will teach them to celebrate New Years' in the city-style. The very next day, a gang of his friends reaches Lapataganj to celebrate their New Year.
New Year Party At Lapataganj
The villagers are excited for the modern New Year party. They get new clothes stichted and are in prep to look the best for the New Year party. Indumati also presents a jean to Mausi for the New Year which she refuses to take and returns it back.
Rocks New Year Eve
Villagers gather along dressed for the party, dance on bollywood numbers and welcome the New Year. The gang of boys then decide to leave for Kanpur post mid night, they are warned by mausi to grab some rest. The next morning the gang returns in an ambulance with a cop after meeting with an accident.
Party Boys Meet With an Accident
The villagers make the boys promise to be responsible for celebrating any occasion. Mukundi comes back home but decides to leave again. While Indumati is reminded that the water at home is over. Indumati and Bindumati are worried about the scarcity of drinking water.
Furious Elija
The scarcity of water troubles everyone at the village. Elija looses his cool and takes a brick in hand to break the local tap. The villagers try to stop him. Suddenly, there is electricity and water supply in the village. Indumati questions the incident and party elect arrives to inform the villager that the party head is planning to visit Lapataganj.
Ministers Visit to Lapataganj
The minister arrives to discuss the issues faced by the vilagers. Mukundi warns Indumati to not attend the discussion and to stay away from politics and politicians. She is furious about not being able to attend the discussion.
The Corrupt Politicians
The politicians fight among themselves and create a chaos. Suthilal and his wife make many sweets and present it to the party, hoping to earn out of the discussion programme. Though the politicians lie about providing a payment and show them out.
Innocent Public is Fooled
The politicians are not interested in discussion or resolving any issues. The spend time lazing around and so a dancer is called to entertain and motivate them. The politicians enjoy the dancers performance in the tent while the villagers are fooled with an audio played of a political speech outside the tent.
Common Man Strives For a Good Life
The politicians create a chaos in the village and leave. The power and water supply too are disconnected as the politicians leave from the village. The villagers decide to live happily anyway with the light of their love and affcetion for each other. The serial signs off talking about the ironic life of a common man.
