After a bitter divorce, Andres invites his children to his new Tallinn home for the weekend, but when communications collapse and panic spreads, they must decide whether to stay or flee.

As supplies run out, Andres ventures out for essentials amid spreading lawlessness, while rising tensions with his daughter grow as it becomes clear the children may not be able to return to their mother.

Attempting to leave the city, the family discovers the journey is far more dangerous than expected, as not even the usual uniformed authorities can be trusted.
Eyes on the road
The countryside feels too quiet. Andres and the children meet people in need but cannot help, and may have to take refuge in an abandoned farmhouse instead of reaching their mother in Pärnu.
It's safe in here
Food is running out, water is unsafe, and conditions deteriorate as Andres struggles to protect his family. Adeele, overwhelmed and resentful, clashes with him and is devastated to learn their mother is pregnant. Tensions rise, though brief moments of care remain. After a failed suicide attempt by carbon monoxide, Andres saves her, and they reconcile slightly. He ventures out for supplies, narrowly escaping danger during a robbery. Back home, the family tries to maintain normalcy despite hardship. With the car unusable, Andres sets off on foot to find more food, leaving the children behind as uncertainty deepens.
Empty house
Andres searches a nearby village, finding it looted and dangerous. An old woman warns him of approaching threats and helps him hide from armed men. Back home, Adeele and Jako fend off an intruder by scaring him away until Andres returns. As conditions worsen, Andres sets traps and struggles to survive harsh winter conditions, even falling through ice while fishing. Paramilitary men later arrive; some are caught in the traps, but they offer food after Adeele apologizes. Andres falls gravely ill, and the family is eventually rescued. As they leave, their home is abandoned, and the surrounding world continues to collapse.
