Golden Years – Miniseries
A tour of the values of Rio's middle class in 1950, based on the romance between Lurdinha, a normal student with conservative parents, and Marcos, a student and son of separated parents.
Episodes
Episode 1
Lurdinha asks permission to go to Marina's brother's prom. Alongside her friends, Lurdinha meets Marcos, who asks her to dance and takes her phone number.
Episode 2
Glória, Marcos' mother, works as a cashier in a nightclub to support her son. Marcos calls Lurdinha and they arrange a meeting at the cinema.
Episode 3
Marcos and Lurdinha meet at the dance. Dorneles meets his lover, while Beatriz accompanies her daughters to the ball. Dorneles causes an accident on the way out of the party.
Episode 4
Marcos and Lurdinha kiss, but she prevents the boy from meeting his parents. A friend tells Lurdinha's mother that she saw her with Marcos and Celeste scolds her daughter.
Episode 5
Lurdinha promises her mother that she will no longer look for Marcos and he starts to be investigated by Carneiro. Marcos asks to spend Christmas at Lurdinha's house, but she disagrees.
Episode 6
Marcos asks Lurdinha's parents if they banned her from dating. Lurdinha discovers that her parents are conspiring against Marcos and runs away. The couple is caught by Carneiro.
Episode 7
Glória discovers that Dorneles has another family and suffers. Marcos jumps over the wall of the Institute to find Lurdinha. Glória goes to Carneiro’s house to talk to Celeste.
Episode 8
Lurdinha's parents accept their daughter's relationship with Marcos and the boy is invited to a party at the family home. Marcos confesses to his father that he only thinks about sex.
Episode 9
Dorneles says he is in love with Glória. After a disagreement with Marcos, Lurdinha decides to break up with him. Marcos is taken to a house of prostitution by his father.
Episode 10
Marcos cries with regret after going to the prostitution house. Lauro asks Lurdinha to go to the cinema. Lurdinha sees Marcos and Rosemary kissing.
Episode 11
Rosemary says she likes Marcos. Lauro sends flowers to Lurdinha. Marcos confesses to Rosemary that he still loves Lourdinha. To stay with Glória, Dorneles lies to Beatriz.
Episode 12
Marcos breaks up with Rosemary on her birthday. Dorneles suffers blackmail from his father-in-law. Marcos goes to meet Lurdinha, but she doesn't welcome him.
Episode 13
Lauro lies to Lurdinha, she finds him in a prostitution house and the two fight. Lurdinha looks for Marcos, the two make peace and have sex for the first time.
Episode 14
Lauro gets a new job and asks Lurdinha to marry him. Glória ends with Dorneles. Marcos sees Glória and Dorneles together.
Episode 15
Lauro lies to Lurdinha, she finds him in a prostitution house and the two fight. Lurdinha looks for Marcos, the two make peace and have sex for the first time.
Episode 16
Oliverio appears dead. Beatriz and Dorneles make peace. The nightclub doorman says he saw Marcos enter, but didn't see him leave. Marcos is arrested.
Episode 17
Lurdinha goes to the police station. Dorneles is called to work in Paraguay. Lurdinha reveals to her mother that she had sex with Marcos. Marcos looks for Carneiro.
Episode 18
Carneiro promises to help Marcos. Dorneles and Glória meet again. Lurdinha has a bad feeling at the party. Lurdinha tells her friends that she is pregnant.
Episode 19
Lurdinha tells Marcos and Glória that she is pregnant. Celeste tricks her daughter and takes her to an abortion clinic, but Marcos arrives there armed.
Episode 20
Glória attacks Celeste and Marcos rescues Lurdinha from the abortion clinic. The police discover the real person responsible for the nightclub owner's death.
