A babysitter named Theresa comes to a woman named Janet Deveraux's house to babysit her two young daughters and soon after Janet leaves is tormented by phone calls from a demented man. She tries to get help from both her boyfriend Johnny and a Detective Hastings, as the calls from the man become more and more frightening.
