The author and former SAS soldier shadows the world's most remarkable police units as they confront crime on the frontline. He travels to Warsaw to meet members of Poland's elite BOA police unit, originally established as a counter-terrorism force in 2001 but now engaged in a battle to tame the organised crime networks that smuggle drugs, weapons and people across Europe. Ryan joins them as they seek to arrest a suspected arms dealer with links to the Russian mafia.
