Caught Red Handed – Series 3

Episode 1

A doorstep crook cons his way into an elderly woman's home, distracting the owner so his fellow burglars can creep in. A gang cruelly and illegally chase deer for sport. One man goes on a mission to stop the cruelty, and the hunters become the hunted. With severe storms on the way, people rush to protect their houses. However, they are doing it by stealing their neighbours sandbags.

Episode 2

A hooded mugger draws a gun on a young student. But the attacker is surprised when the courageous student stands up for himself. Arson in a tower block - the scene of over 100 fires. But who is setting the fires? The residents and police are hot on the trail of the culprits. Plus, fly tippers think they have got away with dumping sofas but they are furnishing the council with evidence, as hidden eyes are watching their every move.

Episode 3

A jewellery snatch - the raider is fast but the shop staff are faster. Quick-thinking and quick-footed, they run rings round the raider. A mother's money is being stolen, so the family fake some bank notes to set a cunning trap. Plus, there is a demolition derby when a dodgy driver makes off with a precious motor.

Episode 4

A 60-year-old cashier is attacked by a woman wielding a knife, but the courageous man locks the door to stop her getting out. When it seems that someone has had their fingers in the till at a pub, the landlord finds out if one of their friends and workmates is a thief. Plus, a man caught on camera stealing wedding dresses is about to have his big day ruined.

Episode 5

Bundles of cash go missing from a family home, but the writing is on the wall for the thief thanks to a spy pen. Also, some of most brazen burglars ever seen. They steal the furniture and then a few minutes later they are seen selling it to someone right outside the house. Plus, two muggers hot-foot it across the snow.

Episode 6

Four violent robbers storm into a pub and so begins a terrifying ordeal for the couple that run it. An office raider thinks he is alone but downstairs he has an audience watching his every move on camera. And the bizarre case of the lolly in the brolly. A careless bank robber forgets to bring his swag bag.

Episode 7

Featuring the story of over 40 brazen burglaries. A gang steal from victims right before their eyes. A bizarre fraud - a woman dresses up to impersonate the pensioner she looks after and then tries to withdraw the victim's life savings. And a guy's plan to torch a truck backfires, he's caught 'red-hot handed'.

Episode 8

A man armed with a crowbar terrorises a jewellery shop owner, but what he doesn't know is that his violent act is being broadcast right around the town on short wave radio, to the police, the council and local shopkeepers. A criminal can steal a handbag in seconds. And something that's very big, very yellow and weighs seven tonnes would appear to be very hard to nick. It's organised crime on a big scale.
