Under Ku’s watchful eye, Bryn explores Hamilton on her own and meets new people, all the while pondering whether she could do the same in London.
Chapter three: ‘Can I just practise first?’
Bryn and Ku visit both of their families and babysit Ku’s nieces and nephew, with mixed results.
Chapter four: ‘What could’ve been, baby’
Bryn and Ku travel to Pōneke to sit down with their exes and walk through paths not taken. Then plan their own next steps.
Chapter five: ‘It’s scary to want something’
Bryn and Ku spend time on Ku’s whenua in Tokomaru Bay as she prepares to give birth, while Bryn faces a looming deadline for her UK visa.
Chapter six: ‘Why did you do this?’
Bryn and Ku have a luxurious babymoon and do a final check-in before their lives change completely. Six weeks later, Bryn visits Ku and meets the newest club member.
