Black August – Miniseries
Adapted from the novel by Rubem Fonseca, the thriller takes place in Rio de Janeiro in 1954. Police commissioner, Alberto is in charge of investigating the death of businessman Paulo Gomes.

A mysterious homicide takes place. Gregório gives Climério a gun. Alberto Mattos investigates the murder and finds an important clue that was at the crime scene.
Episode 2
Luciana Aguiar is interrogated by Alberto Mattos. Luiz Magalhães talks about money with Gregório Fortunato. Rosalvo discovers Paulo Aguiar's relationship with Pedro Lomagno.
Episode 3
Alberto talks to the pimp Laura about Vitor Freitas. Rosalvo discovers a rotten event in Paulo Aguiar's past. Alcino prepares to kill Carlos Lacerda.
Episode 4
Alcino makes a mistake and kills an air force major. Vitor has a meeting with Pedro Lomagno and Cláudio Aguiar. Alberto argues with Ramos. Turco Velho accepts Ilídio’s mission.

Climério tells Alcino to disappear. Raimundo tells Alberto about a black man. Ilídio changes his mind. Turco Velho arrives at Alberto’s apartment.

Gregório tells Climério to disappear. Padua kills Turco Velho. Rosalvo finds José Silva's address. Alberto notices an important detail in Gregório Fortunato's photo.

Salete meets his mother, Sebastiana. Pedro Lomagno arranges a meeting with Alberto. Suspicion about Gregório Fortunato grows more and more in Alberto.

Alice leaves Pedro Lomagno and goes to Alberto's apartment. Senator Vitor Freitas is concerned about the commissioner's investigation. Chicão kills the doorman Raimundo.

Alberto receives information that Raimundo has disappeared. Luiz Magalhães talks about coffee and money with Pedro Lomagno. Cláudio Aguiar points a gun at Alberto.
Episode 10
Cláudio Aguiar tries to blackmail Pedro Lomagno, but is surprised. Clemente unearths a secret from Vitor Freitas. Alberto discovers the truth behind Turco Velho.

Military personnel go to Oscar's site in search of Climério. Alberto receives the news of Cláudio Aguiar's death. Pedro Lomagno says that Chicão needs to disappear for a while.
Episode 12
Luciana Aguiar tells Pedro Lomagno that they need to get rid of Alice. Climério is arrested. Alberto discovers that Gregório Fortunato is not Paulo Aguiar's killer.

Luiz Magalhães leaves Brazil in despair. Alberto creates friction with Padua because of Turco Velho's death. Kid Terremoto tells Alberto that Chicão has his own gym.

Alberto arrests police officers and releases inmates. Salete meets an extremely weak Alberto at his home. Pádua takes action with the bookie Ilídio.
