Mitchell Joseph Landrieu (born August 16, 1960) is an American lawyer and politician who served as the 61st mayor of New Orleans from 2010 to 2018. A member of the Democratic Party, he previously served as the 51st lieutenant governor of Louisiana from 2004 to 2010. Landrieu is the son of former New Orleans mayor and Cabinet-secretary Moon Landrieu and the brother of former U.S. senator Mary Landrieu.
