Matyoqub Matchonov (born November 26, 1956, in Tashkent, USSR) is an Uzbek theater and film actor, recognized as one of the most respected figures in Uzbek cinema and performing arts. Inspired by a dream of becoming an actor, Matchonov entered the Tashkent Theater and Art Institute after finishing school.
