Klaus Teuber (June 25, 1952 – April 1, 2023) was a German board game designer best known as the creator of The Settlers of Catan. Originally trained as a dental technician, he began designing games as a hobby before pursuing it professionally. Teuber won multiple Spiel des Jahres awards, including for Barbarossa, Adel Verpflichtet, Drunter und Drüber, and The Settlers of Catan.
