Actor, screenwriter, director. People's Artist of the Georgian SSR (1982). People's Artist of the Abkhaz ASSR (1983). Graduated from the directing department of the Tbilisi Theater Institute named after Sh. Rustaveli (1967). From the age of 17 he worked at the Academic Theater named after K.
