Tam Kit-Man (Debbie Tam) was born in Hong Kong and grew up in Tuen Mun, New Territories. At the age of 13, she was invited by director Lawrence Lau (Lau Kwok-Cheong) to audition for a film on the street. Out of hundreds of people auditioning at Milkyway Image, she won a film acting contract and played the role of Cookie in Lawrence Lau's film "Spacked Out"(2000) .
