Asha Bhosle was an Indian playback singer best known for her work in Hindi cinema. She has sung over 10,000 songs across 800+ films and is known for her versatility across genres such as classical, ghazals, pop, and Western-style music. She began her singing career in the 1940s and rose to fame in the late 1950s through successful collaborations with music director O.P. Nayyar.
