Overview

When the renegade crew of Serenity agrees to hide a fugitive on their ship, they find themselves in an action-packed battle between the relentless military might of a totalitarian regime who will destroy anything – or anyone – to get the girl back and the bloodthirsty creatures who roam the uncharted areas of space. A nice wrap-up to Firefly, unfortunately far too condensed. In may ways it felt like they took the major events that would have spanned the next 2 or 3 seasons and crammed it all into a 2 hour movie. Nonetheless, it provides a decent sense of closure to the series.

At the start, I thought this was a sort of hybrid between "Quantum Leap" and "Guardians of the Galaxy" and that it was just going to be derivate nonsense. It's actually quite a bit better than that as we discover the malevolent "Operative" (Chiwitel Ejiofor) is on the trail of a priceless asset. It'
