Overview

A middle-class family gives birth to an intersex child. The rural setting of Sri Lanka is contextualized throughout the film. Here, the father and grandmother are talking in the hospital about the child. They are thinking and debating about what to do. The film portrays the father's demand as a genuine culture shock. The father is torn between traditional beliefs and the welfare of the child, highlighting the complexities of navigating social expectations in a changing world.
